TEACHING AND LEARNING – CASE STUDIES

The following section considers, through case studies, how Achievement for All schools have effectively implemented and developed element two of the framework. They clearly show that, in practice, each element of the framework cannot be considered in isolation, but contributes to the whole programme.

Case study: Killisick Junior School, Nottingham

Context

Killisick is a small junior school with 160 pupils from a mixed catchment. The majority of children are white British with 10% of mainly white/black Caribbean mixed heritage. Around 40% are on FSM and the numbers of pupils with SEND is average – mostly they are pupils that find learning hard or who have behavioural, social and emotional difficulties.
